• They've been best friends since childhood. Shinjiro calls him "Aki." Shinjiro has loved him for a long time. Akihiko loves him, too, but isn't too keen on having a relationship, because he's worried about ruining their friendship, knows Shinjiro isn't the most stable of people to have as a boyfriend, and has a hard time picturing himself in a gay relationship since Shinjiro is really the only man he's ever had feelings for. He would rather stay just friends. Shinjiro isn't exactly the type to give up and move on, though.

• They have a bit of a rivalry that extends beyond the way Shinjiro and the other members of Strega feel for each other. Their personalities just kind of clash. As it turns out, this was their way of flirting with each other in some twisted way. The two of them got together finally, but it's pretty clear that there was a big difference between the way Jin and Shinjiro feel about each other as compared to the way Jin feels about Takaya and Shinjiro feels about Akihiko, so, they ended up breaking up quickly. Shinjiro is a little mad about it, since Jin quickly went back to Takaya, aptly forgetting about their relationship, but he will probably eventually get over and be friends with him again.

• They're kind of friends...in a weird way. Shinjiro would like Ashe if she wasn't dating Akihiko. They get along when the topic of conversation isn't him. Their fights and arguments, however, are not very serious. They're a bit love/hate.

• She used to have a crush on him before she realized that he doesn't like girls. They're still friends, though. They both like animals.

• They get along, because they are pretty similar in some ways. They both agree that Akihiko is really cool.

• Their beliefs clash, obviously, but they have a strange sort of kinship in their common experiences with Persona. Takaya messes with him from time to time though and Shinjiro is pretty bitter about some things, so they're still not ever going to be friends.

• While they don't hate each other actively, they are enemies in that their beliefs clash in ways that previously forced them to battle. Shinjiro just isn't the sympathetic type; anyone that's with Strega is an enemy to him.

Someone has been feeding the stray cat in the alley. It wasn't hungry when I brought it it's meal. It made me feel strangely happy. (For the first time in a while.)
